The durable instruments of puja - the vessels that hold water and offering, the bell that marks invocation, the stand that raises the flame, the kund that contains the fire. Unlike the offerings, these are not consumed. They are the enduring architecture of the altar, used and re-used across a lifetime of worship.
Traditional metals - brass and copper - in the forms classical practice prescribes. Weight and finish made to be handled every day and to last. These are implements meant to be inherited, not discarded; chosen so a household or a pandit sets up the altar once and worships from it for years.
Thin electroplated imitations. Lacquered finishes that flake into the offering. Vessels made to look ceremonial but not made to last.
